How It All Began...Way back then..
Once upon a very wibbly‑wobbly, upside‑down year (yes, 2020), chocolatier Trace had a spark — the kind of spark that smells like cocoa, glitters like sprinkles and refuses to sit still. That spark grew legs, grabbed a paintbrush, stole a chocolate mould and declared:
“Chocolate should be FUN!”
And just like that, Lab Cocoa burst into existence — a colourful, creative universe where chocolate isn’t just eaten… it’s experienced, splattered, swirled, sprinkled and proudly shown off to Nan !

Imagination is our secret ingredient — the colour, the chaos, the full‑volume ​
“WHAT IF?!”
moments that turn chocolate into characters and workshops into entire wibbly‑wobbly worlds, and it bursts to life through hands‑on creativity as kids paint, pour, swirl and sprinkle like tiny cocoa‑powered Picassos who’ve had three espressos.
Through colour‑first design with edible paints so bright they could guide ships home in a storm, through story‑led play where monsters, creatures and chocolate realms run around causing delightful mayhem, through sensory exploration where texture, colour, smell, taste and sound all collide like a joyful chocolate earthquake, through creative confidence as children march out buzzing with
“I MADE THIS!”
pride loud enough to rattle the sprinkles, through total freedom to experiment with absolutely no rules, no limits and definitely no grown‑up seriousness, and through joyful chaos where sprinkles fly, colours swirl and ideas explode in every direction — exactly the kind of beautiful,
delicious nonsense we adore at Lab Cocoa.
It's Our Chocolate‑Creative Mission
Lab Cocoa Mission .... only one outrageously delicious reason: to unleash Imagination , creativity, so messy, magical and magnificently chaotic that chocolate ends up in hair, on noses, under elbows and occasionally on the ceiling, while imagination explodes in every direction, curiosity runs around like it’s had three hot chocolates too many, and every workshop, kit and creature is designed to turn perfectly normal days into cocoa‑fuelled adventures so joyfully bonkers that if it doesn’t make kids giggle, gasp or scream

So Why does Imagination Matter So MUCH?
It builds confidence as kids watch their wildest chocolate‑covered ideas spring to life, encourages play by letting them explore like tiny sugar‑fuelled explorers who’ve misplaced the rulebook, strengthens family moments as grown‑ups and little ones create side‑by‑side in a glorious mess of memories and melted chocolate, supports learning with fine‑motor skills, colour theory, sensory chaos and storytelling that occasionally goes off the rails, and inspires future creators by planting a spark of imagination so bright it could probably power the sprinkle machine for a week.
Who's Coming along for the Adventure?
Our cheeky cocoa creatures, colourful characters and mischievous monsters (Douglas, Sprinkle Monster , Gary the snail ) are multiplying faster than sprinkles in a wind tunnel, and they’ll keep growing right alongside us as their sweet, silly, story‑stuffed universe expands with every new workshop, new kit, new burst of chaos and new dollop of magic we dream up — so grab your goggles and come along for the chocolate adventure, because what’s next is sweeter, wilder and even more gloriously, ridiculously, wonderfully Lab Cocoa.
